The communication i ontained a request that a children's petition for peace be circulated In the city Schools. Tho request wan ordered granted and Superintendent ! Mills was authorized to see that it was carried out While the consensus consen-sus of opinion among the board members mem-bers was that tho petition would have no bearing toward the ending of tho j Furopean war, the thought contained in it was a good one and would instruct in-struct the children as to the blessings bless-ings of peace and tho horrors of war.
