Show REARDON SENTENCED TO SIX MONTHS IN COUNTY JAIL - In the municipal court thi6 morning Effie Dangerfield. charged with a grancy, pleaded guilty and in the ab sence of witnesses and on recommen datlon of Assistant City Attorney John Heywood, the case was continued un til tomorrow In the case of D. W, Reardon. which has been undr advisement for several days. Attorney Heywood advised the court that, owing to the repentant spirit of the defendant, the county attorney at-torney had decided not to prosecute him upon a mere serious charge Judge Reeder considered this concession conces-sion on Reardon's behalf sufficient leniency le-niency and gave; him the maximum sentence for petty larceny, six months in tho county jail. Reardon, it will be recalled, was caught stealing shoes and cigars from a box car which act under the law constitutes a felony He appeared pleased at getting off with only a misdemeanor sentence, |
