Show oo GOVERNOR SPRY AND PARTY OF 21 TO BE GUESTS Over 500 invitations were sent out yesterday., by the invitation committee commit-tee of the Ogden high school cadet battalion, for the fifth annual cadet ball which will be held at the New Colonial hall Friday night. The invitations in-vitations were sent to the patrons of the school, members of the Alumni association and other special guests. The students have been given several days to hand in the names of persons whom they considered entitled to Invitations In-vitations and the committee states that admission to the ball will be by Invitation only. The arrangements for the big event are well under way and It promises to be not only the biggest party evei given by the cadets, but the most select se-lect and brilliant. The battalion is drilling dally under the direction of Captain W. E. Kneass, who will also be in direct charge of the "hop" and the military exhibition will be one of the most pleasing features of tho evening. The big hall will be magnificently decorated and the decorating committee commit-tee will begin Its work tomorrow. The visit of Govcrndr Spry and his party, numbering about 20, will be marked first with a banquet which will be glveh at- the high school, with" the board of education as hosts. This will be served about 7:30 p. ra., and those present will be Governor Govern-or Spry and party, the members of tho board of education and their wives, Principal Henry Peterson of the high school and wife, and several other speoial guests. The following are the patrons for the ball: Messrs. and Mesdames Hyrum Pin-gree, Pin-gree, W. H. Williams, J. W. Leve- dahl, George S. Glen. Wade M. Johnson. John-son. Mayor A. G. Fell, Chris Flygare, J. M. Mills, Henry Peterson, Rev. J. E. Carver, and T. Samuel Browning and daughter, and Miss May Kyle. |
