Show WORK STOPPED ON SUNDAY MORNING There was some little commotion on Jefferson avenue and Twenty-fifth street yesterday morning soon after1 7 o clock w hen Dae Bigley, grade foreman for P. J. Moran put a plow team to work breaking ground for the grading between Twenty-fifth and Twenty-seventh street T H tarr took exceptions to having the avenue torn up and the homes filled with dust on Sunday and h soon advised the city engineer, who lives near, that unless he stopped thf work Inslanter. he would call the police department Mr BtgW withdrew th plow team Tomorrow morning, however, says Mr Bigley, grading will be begun on Jefferson avenue In earnest and in a week s time the avenue for a block will be ready for the concrete base of the asphalt pavement Today the graders will finish grad Ing the railroad bed on Wall avenue, which Is the last work to be done bj the grading outfit before the concrete Is placed in position It Is said th'n-. It will be a week before actual pax ing work will begin on Wall avenue The Bamberger company has a shovel at work today grading its road ; bed between Twenty fifth and Twen ty sixth street, on Lincoln avenue |
