Champion tennis teams from all sections of the coii try limbered up at Onwentsia today in preparation of the trials tomorrow and Wednesday to decide who shall meet Maurice E McLoughlin and Thomas C Bundy of San Francisco for the national double title. The I w inning team will go to Newport to meet the title holders on August 18. Gustav F Touchard and W. M Washburn, the eastern champions, were first on the courts of the North Shore club this morning They were followed shortly afterward after-ward by Robert Shelton and J P Adoue, who represent the south John Strachan. who. with Clarence ('Tiffin, holds the Pacific Coast cham plonship. and who was forced to default de-fault in the western tourney because of illness, has not fully recovered and practiced llghtlv R. H Burdlck and Heath Byford C'hicagoans. who won the western title with such ease, took a hard workout Bundy was expected here late today and planned to se the semifine round tomorrow before going east to practice with McLoughlln |
