Show J. MARCAN SENT TO STATE'S PRISON J Marcan. who pleaded guilty to forgery, was sentenced to the state prison this morning by Judge James Howell Later the court will re port the nature of the case to the state board of pardons for its guid-ance guid-ance In determining the time the young man shall serve. Marcan stated to the judge that h had paid back all the money he received re-ceived on his forgeries and that he had never been In trouble before He had nothing to say to the court, except ex-cept that he desired the court to oe merciful. It Is stated by the police officers however, that Marcan has been In trouble before for forgeries committed commit-ted and that he should be riven a long term sentence. In disposing of the Sam Alford case the court ordered tbat te man py; to the countv treasurer for the ben fit of his famllv the sum of $5 each week and that.'
