Show ANDERSON'S BOND FIXED AT $12,000 Salt Lake, Aug. 9 To ln?ure his appearance as a witness in the trial "f Mrs. Minnie Ekman. charged with the murder of her little daughter, C. L. Anderson, former husband of U10 accused, was placed under $12,00,1 bonds by Judge F C loofbourow In the district court yesterday, Anderson is held at the city Jail and has little chance of raising the bond, according to his own state ment He says he will make the state of rtah pay for his confinement in Jail, declaring that In vew of the alibi ho has established showing that he could have had no connection with the murder, the state has no right to hold him A decision to hold Anderson under heavy bonds was reached yesterday following a conference at the city-jail city-jail attended by the district attorney his assistant, the Inspector 01 police and Nicholas G Morgan, assistant county attornev It was on request of the latter that the bonds were fixed. Except for the confession of tho accused herself, the state has no dl rect testimony on which to proceed Anderson. It is believed, will be the principal witness si the trial |
