Show PRUNING TREES THE WORK OF STUDENTS For several days past the horticultural horticul-tural students in the agricultural classes of the Ogden high school have been doing their laboratory work In ! the orchards of the city, where they have engaged in pruning practice Un der the direction oT II B. Schweitzer Schweitz-er head of that department, the boys have worked so industriously that the have tiiiislmd the work In a I number of orchards and are now In search of other fields in w hich to continue iheir pruning. Principal Henry Peterson suggests i h n t If any properts owners, living I within a reasonable distance of the high school, have any trees they wish trimmed the work will be done if a ! telephone message Is sent to the high I school or Professor Schweitzer Is com-I com-I municated with The outdoor work of the horticultural horticul-tural class Is in line with the efforts of the professor to Introduce B large I amount of practical work along with the instruction secured in the class loom from text books. The class In animal husbandry has visited the herds of the city to learn I how to judge animals and another class has paid a visit to meat mar-j mar-j kets to learn there a little of the anatomy anat-omy of cattle and other stock nn |
