These organisms organ-isms are exceedingly minute but potent a tit', re liable to infect lodgment. The usual channel by which they are taken into the Hjpdy is the drinking vater;milk fjTud other uncooked foods may alto contain them as a retMlt of the contact of contaminated flics. The law provides fot the disinfection disin-fection of excreta from typhoid cases, and health officers should strictly enforce this most important import-ant measure. If it were conscientiously con-scientiously observed in all cases, the disease would soon be completely com-pletely exterminated by this means alone, the seeds thus being be-ing destroyed instead of sown b'oadcast. , "In the meantime all water used for drinking purposes should be treated as suspicious and should be boiled.
