Show LARGE AND IMPRESSIVE IMPRES-SIVE FUNERAL SER VICES FOR BO DELL ilerriman Man Laid To Rest Friday Bishop Crane Officiating Large and impressive funeral services serv-ices for Mr. John Bodell, age 24. Son of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. H. Bodell, who was killed Tuesday, August 11, at 7:50 p. m., while repairing lights on a pole here, were held Friday in the Vird chapel at 2 p. m. with Bishop J". F. Crane officiating. C. I. Goff of Midvale was the principal prin-cipal speaker and told of the good work and character of the young man. He also spoke of this being the third brother in the family thai ne had had charge of in less than three years, all of which were grown 1,0 manhood. Other speakers were Elder Parley Rose of Morgan, former mission companion Bishop David Bills and Z. Butterfield of the High Counsel, both of Riverton, and Joseph Jos-eph M. Holt, president of the Jordan stake from South Jordan. Invocation was offered by Patriarch Gordon S. Bills, and the benediction was pronounced pro-nounced by High Councilor A. T. Butterfield, both from Riverton. Music Mu-sic was furnished by the ward choir with a mixed quartet composed of Mrs. O. R. Freeman, Mrs. Lafe Crane, Reuben and Levi Freeman. A solo, 'Abide With Me," was rendered by one of the Utah Power & Light Co. employees from Salt Lake. The grave was dedicated by Thomas Hamilton of Riverton. There were more than one hundred out of town people in attendance. |
