Show News Notes From Lark Mrs. Joe Gumuche, a former resident resi-dent of Lark, but now of Sparks, Nevadu, was married there the past week. Mr, and Mrs. Leo Slater are rejoicing rejoic-ing over the arrival of a six and hall pound bu!) girl at the Steps toe Hospital Hos-pital at McGill, Nevada the past week. The attention of the health officer of this district is called to the foul smelling toilets in the Lark district, aiso the waste water that is iound lowing in front of the many homes iu cump. The many friends of Miss Fay Wray, a lormer resident oi Lurk, will be pleased to see her photo reproduced re-produced in the September number of the magazine known as "True btoiies. Mist Wray is connected with the movies in Hollywood. The stage used for the transportation transporta-tion of hign school pupils to Bingham is being lengthened and remodeled and will take more pupils than it has previously done. .That the new schoolmarm for Lark will have the privilege of meeting "Gene" on her arrival. Dick Pascoe and Chic Haun motored mo-tored to Salt Lake on Tuesday to see the Rodeo parade. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Penpraze and sorts, James and Raymond, and Charles Penpraze, took in the sights of the Al G. Barnes circus Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Butterfteld and children, James and Bertha and Billy and Vonny Pierce of Copper- field, also Miss Nelly Harris of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove, visited with relatives and friends here Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Arnt Thompson and children Ardath and Billy and Phyllife Osborne and Katie Webb motored to Crystal Hot Springs Friday. Funeral services for John W. Bo-dell Bo-dell were held from the Herriman ward chapel on Friday afternoon last, under the direction of Bishop F. T. Crane of Riverton. Interment was in the Herriman cemetery. Speakers were C. I. GofT of Midvale, Parley Rose, a former missionary compan- ion, Bishop David Bills, V. Butter-field Butter-field and Joseph M. Holt. A number from Lark attended, who included Mrs. R. MeyerhofTer, Mrs. Graves, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Seal and Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Nelson.' Mr. and Mrs. Vernal Hoglund, the Misses Eva Hoglund, and Gilda Birch of Midvale were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. Webb Sunday last Miss Grace Miller is visiting with friends and relatives in Salt Lake City this week. Ruby Peterson, Scott Arnold and Homer Eastman motored to the Crystal Crys-tal Hot Lakes Monday evening. The many friends of Mrs. John Prowse, Sr., will be pleased to learn her health is improving. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Magee and pleasing daughters, Rhea and Alice, spent an enjoyable day at American Fork visiting friends and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Clint Seal of River-ton River-ton were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Hemmingsen on Sunday. Mrs. James Murphy and son Jerry of Bingham have been the guests ot Mrs. Murphy's parents, Mr. and Mrs Fred Miller, this week. Wallace Clements and Bud Mitten-dorf Mitten-dorf took in the sights of the circu at Salt Lake Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. J. Christensen an'' children, Carl and Arlene, accompan ied by the Misses Alice and Beatrice Hatt, motored to Salt Lake Sundaj evening. Dick Pascoe, the popularemployer of the new mining property on the hill, spent the week end at Salt Lake City. Miss Mary Morgich of Midvale wai the charming guest of Bob Rudelich on Friday last. Alex Peterson, Jim McDonald, Boyd Crittenden and several of the bachelor bache-lor gang from Lark have been callers at the home of Miss Mary Morgich at Midvale this week. George Smith of the Bingham Furniture Fur-niture Co. with Jack Rudman, were the guests of Mrs. Frances Stillino-'vich Stillino-'vich Sunday evening. |
