Show DEMOCRATS TOj HOLD THEIR PRIMARY Tho Wilson-Marshall Democratic club will hold its initial war conference confer-ence at S o'clock this evening at which thno tho primary selection of delegates to the county convention will he made and Important matters In connection with the campaign will be discussed The primaries for the First, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth city wards will bo held at the Wilson-Marshall headquarters, 2362 Washington avenue, while in tho other oth-er districts of the county, individual selections will bo made of delegates to the county convention to be held next Saturday afternoon At tho county convention delegates will be selected to the number of sixty-one to attend the state J3emocratic convention at Salt Lake, August 29, and 21 delegates to attend the Second Sec-ond Judicial district convention at Farmlngton, 10 a. m., August 30. Weber county will make a strong bid for the honor of furnishing a nominee for state representative in congress. David S. Cook, former assistant as-sistant city attorney, had been boosted boost-ed fpr the office by the younger element ele-ment of local Democracy as well as by many of the older war horses until un-til It became known that T. D, John-oon John-oon .has reconsidered his attitude In th matter pf entering tho race. It is understood that Cook has row thrown his support to Johnson, who will probably be presented for nomination nom-ination Arthur Pratt and H. H. Henderson are named as possibilities for district Judgo candidacy, while David S. Cook. Abbott Maglunls and W. W Har-combe Har-combe have been suggested for district dis-trict attorneyship. |
