David W Mul-vane, Mul-vane, director of the Republican campaign cam-paign In the west, announced last night that former Vice President Fairbanks would take tho stump for President Taft, probablj early in September. Sep-tember. Mr, Mulvnne also announced that U S. Senator Borah of Idaho would tae the stump for President Taft;, at first in his own state, and later .probably .prob-ably In other states, although this has not been determined definitely. Senator Sena-tor Borah stopped In Chicago on his way home from Washington. He held an extended conference with Mr. Mul-vane Mul-vane and others at the Republican headquarters. Among other speakers announced by Chairman Dickma of the Republican Republi-can speakers bureau are former Congressman Con-gressman James E Watson of Indiana, In-diana, Rev. J. Wesley Hill of New York, former Congressman J. Adam Bede of MInncsato and former U. S. Senator Mason of Illinois, Jose Davies or Wisconsin, secretary of the Democratic national. committee, yesterday mot former Governor Folk of Missouri and W. K. Kavanaugh of Ct Louis, president of the Lakes to the Gulf Deepwatcrway association. Mr. Kavanaugh was endeavoring to .secure the attendance for one day at least of Governor Wilson at tho annual an-nual convention nf the waterway as- sociatlou at Little Rock, Ark., Sept. i 21 lo 26 Col. Bryan would be active ac-tive In the campaign after September 10. U. S. Senator Dixon of Montana, director di-rector of the Progressive campaign, last night issued a statement In which he reviewed tho work of the Progressives Progres-sives in the middle west and in the mountain states, and also on tho Pacific Pa-cific coast He said that this entire district had been effectively organized. |
