The supreme court of Nevada at Carson yesterday do-ddod do-ddod that the nomination of presidential presi-dential electors by stato conventions is the proper procedure and that electors elec-tors aro not required to be nominated nominat-ed by stato primary in September. Tho question arose on nn ambiguous wording of the amended stato primary pri-mary act under which Secretary of State Brodigan Included the nomination nomina-tion of electors in his call for the state primaries. An application was made for mandamus man-damus against the secretary of stato and, while tho application was ro-fuse'd ro-fuse'd as premature, tho court sustained sus-tained all claims as to tho law made In the application, holding the primary pri-mary act did not govern the procedure. |
