Show DELIGHTED WITH THIS CITY Transcontinental automobile tourists tour-ists concede tbat Ogden Is the hub( of tho lntcrmountaln country and they take great plcosure In spending a few days here and extending their observations in arlous directions. This Is tho season of the year when aito travelers arc busy nnd the most delightful trip for the wealthy Is that across the continenL To tracl from ocean to ocean in an automobile is a novelty of itself and it also means much pleasure. All travelers say that It Is well that the transcontinental route passes thiough Ogden, because of its central location and tho many advantages afforded as a shipping point for extraB. Automobile tourists In the city for tho past few days and leaving the cltv today for side trips and for home in "the cast are H. T. Riley and E. W. Roilly of Omaha. They came to the cltv a few days ago and made a side trip from here to Idaho points, visiting visit-ing the Twin Falls country. Thoy Ptartcd for home this afternoon, after making a run through Ogden canyon. The men state that they nro delighted delight-ed with the western country and that Ogden nppcais to them as one of the prettiest and most promising cities. Thoy are to make another trip west soon, at which time thoy will oxtend their Journey to the coast. Mrs. L. P. Kuinicutt. II P. Eddy nnd J. W. Morrison of Worcester, Massachusetts, Mas-sachusetts, and Miss I. A. Franklin of Oxford, England, after spending a short time in Ogde.n left today in a large automobile for the Yellowstono country, where they will spend a few das, reluming to Ogden to continue their Journey to the coast They have been on the way between the Atlantic Beaboard and Utah since last May, making such distance each day as seemed best to them and spending spend-ing a3 much time as they desired at attracthe points. They stated this morning that they had enjoyed every minute of the time they hae traxeled and that they had not encountered bad roads. The people peo-ple of tho west, unconventional, hospitable hos-pitable almost to a fault, have delighted de-lighted them nnd they were not r,icv to praise the people of Ogden. They were surprised to see the beautiful country in the vicinity of Ogden, promising so many great things in a commercial way. The orchards and farms and beet fields, together with the grea't mountains standing out as scenic wonders, were complete revelations revel-ations to them, they said. Judge N- K. Hutchison nnd family and C. H. Zagbell of Lake City. Iowa, made a side trip to parts to the south of Ogden today and upon their return re-turn will continue their Journer home from the coaet. The Judge and his partv arc woll pleased with the wost-ern wost-ern 'eountrv and the entire company stated that' thoy had passed a pleasant pleas-ant time in Ogden. |
