Bumper Peach Crop. At the meeting last week J. Edward Taylor, state horticulturist pointed out that the peach crop this jear will total 2000 carloads, as compared with 730 carloads, the greatest previous crop. Unless this increased production produc-tion can be disposed of with fair profit pro-fit to the growers, the fruit industry In Utah will suffer an almost fatal setback at this, its crucial period. A similar predicament confronts the apple crop and other fruit varieties, but the peach problem Is hold to be the most important because of its perishable nature and the brevity of the market season. It Is proposed to advertise to all the United States the superiority of Utah peaches and to impress the mankets of tho east that an Increased demand shall be created, equal to the increased increas-ed production. In this way only can the growers of Utah be saved from loss and the rapidly growing industry rescued from a critical situation, It Is declared. Growers Will Aid.
