United States Marshal James Anderson is a stockholder. stock-holder. JLIyrum Booth, United States attorney, is k stockholder. George Sutherland and Reed Smoot, .United States senators, and Congressman IIoavcII are stockholders in the Herald-Republican company. Now, dear reader, can you sec why everything these officials do is praised by the IIcrald-Rcpublican7 The bunch of federal office-holders in Utah, and most of the state officers belong to tho ring that constitute the Federal Bunch. The llcrald-Rcpubliean is owned by the office holders in Utah. Now what do j-ou think of that sheet accusing the Democrats and the Progressives of wanting office? The Herald-Republican outfit drawing all the big salaries in Utah and then accusing all others with being against the Federal Bunch because they want the offices. Wouldn't that jar you? Well, we will just admit that the outs want to get in. Will the Herald-Republican Federal Bunch give up the offices? Oh, no! It is patriotic for the Federal Bunch to keep on sucking the public tit; it is only wrong for the people out of office to aspire to get in office. of-fice. Governor Gov-ernor Wells conducted the state of Utah with about $SOO,000 in taxes. The Federal Bunch needs twice that sum. or in round numbers num-bers a million and half dolars.
