C Nye, the commission- jH ers-elect of the city have held no lH formal meeting preliminary to assum- lH ing their duties January 1. Mr. Nye H has been suffering of a bad cold and IH has not been disposed to attend to H business affairs to any great extent. H Recorder Carl Allison this morn- H ing presented all the city officers- jH elect with their certificates of elec- H tion, finding the three commission- H era together in an informal meet- jH ing. It is expected that Commission- H cr Nye will visit his sister at De jH i Moines, Iowa, a couple of weeks and jH , that upon bis return home the board lH , will meet to take action on prelim- lH I Inary steps toward the organization IH I of the new government. H While visiting at Dcs Moines, Mr, tWM Nye will make somo investigation IH respecting the "Des Moines Plan" and H report bis observations to his col- IH leagues in the Ogden commission. He IH likely will leave for the Iowa city to- H day "of tomorrow, cays Commissioner JH i Browning, and will be gone at least SMM i two weeks. The commissioners state that many IH I applications for offices are on file, lH I but none of them has been given con- jH i sidcratlon in any way up to this time IH 1 Commissioner Browning Mates that.
