Stipulating that his young wife, Louise White Lawrence Suydam, should first enter Into an agreement to marry Frederick Noble, tho plumber's son, with whom she recently ran away from her homo in Blue Point, L. I., Walter Lispcnard Suydam, Jr., offered today to free her by suing her for divorce. Suydam, his mllllonairo father .and a lawyer called upon the young woman wom-an at tho flat whore she and Noble have been living and made the stlpu-, latlon as an alternative to never having hav-ing a divorce suit begun. They demand de-mand also that the agreement bo signed sign-ed by Noblo, Previous tb their arrival Mrs. Suydam Suy-dam complained of her husband's delay de-lay In starting the divorce proceed ings. She said she had no Intention of going back to him and wanted a divorce di-vorce Immediately. Young Suydnm had hoped for a reconciliation, but finding It hopeless began to consider tho divorce situation. His one thought, he announced, was that the future of his wife would be provided for. His attorney suggested the marriage mar-riage contract which appealed to Suydam Suy-dam and his family, Inasmuch as it would provide for the future of the elopers before the divorce proceedings proceed-ings were actually begun. oo |
