Show AEROPLANE Rodders Fails at Huntington, Hunt-ington, Ind., and is Painfully Bruised Huntington, Ind., Oct. 2. Caught In a sudden gust of wind C. P. Rodgers' aeroplane dived to earth JuBt after he had started from this city toward Chicago today. The machine was wrecked and Rodgers nalnfuliy bruised. f Rodgers started from a field half a mile south of this city. Hardly had ho got into the nlr when a sharp wind swept the mnehine from his control and It swooped Into an adjoining field. Tho nvlator picked himself out of the, twisted aeroplane and said ho was only slightly hurt Both plnnes of tho machine wore badly damaged and tho carryiug wheels wero broken. Rodgers said it would be several days beforo tho aeropluno could be repaired. |
