Dye is chairman, will meet at the district court room in the county building Saturday afternoon, after-noon, at 2:30 o'clock, to determine tho manner in which delegates to the stato convention to be held at Provo. a.My 15, shall be chosen. There is a difference of opinion as to whether the delegates should be selected, at precinct primaries or whether a county convention should be called and the delegates elected at j , . - large, the precinct primary idea largely large-ly prevailing. The county is entitled to 41 delegates dele-gates In the Provo convention and If ' the precinct primaries are decided on the chairman of each precinct organization organ-ization will be advised of tho number of delegates tho -precinct Is entitled to, and the precinct will bo given an opportunity to vote. If a county convention con-vention Is hold tho delegates from the various precincts will meet and select se-lect the delegates. The Provo convention is called for tho purpose of electing eight delegates dele-gates to attend the national Republican Republi-can convention which will be held at Chicago, Juno 17, for the nominating of candidates for president 'and, vice president of the United States. The delegates to the state convention at Provo will determine thc choice as between Taft and ex-President Roosevelt Roose-velt Roosevelt, so far as Utah is con-corned. con-corned. Roosevolt advocates desire tho precinct primary for the election of delegates to tho state convention and, while tho Taft ndvocatos are not j particularly opposed to it, thoy are not especially advocating It.
