Show Harvester Trust Affair Puts Colonel in Combative Com-bative Mood Now York April 25. "I haven't begun to fight," said Col. Roosevelt But when the Colonel read the papers today ho decided to begin to fight. He telegraphed to New York for his secretary and for his records dealing with tho International Harvester company. Ho said ho would give out tonight a statement of his position, in relation to tha Harvester company. Col. Roosevelt In thc meantime would make no comment and said he regarded the matter as one to which he should give his careful attention and that he could say nothing until he had tho case in hand. He added that there still was a good deal to bo said. George W. Perkins issued tho fol-lowing fol-lowing statement: "Mr. Perkins said the letters of President Roosevelt and Commissioner Commission-er Knox Smith stated tho facts as he recollected them, and he is glad thoy were given out. He expressed regret, re-gret, however, that the present administration ad-ministration has not soen fit to also give out all tho other correspondence and Interviews form from 1901 down to date, especially those covering last year, as th public Is entitled to know all the facts." |
