Show oo . HAPPY DAY FOR ASYLUM INMATES Provo Institution Will Be Scene of Big Celebration Many Aid Good Work. PROVO, Dec. 23 Superintendent D. H. Calder of the State Mental hos- I pital and his assistants will give the inmates of that institution one of the best Christmas celebrations the patients pa-tients ever enjoyed. They aro also providing a splendid entertainment for the feeble-minded rhnrlr.nr. A 1-. -. 1 - ....iwv;!,. xv mine uuiuuor oi people interested in the patients at that place mavo made contributions of cash and many merchants from Provo and other cities have provided much that will lend cheer to tho day Some of the patients will gel new suits, others coats, hats, sweater coats, neckties and shoes. The Christmas dinner will consist of roast pork with dressing, potatoes, mashed turnips, bread and butter and mincemcaL The supper will consist of steamed rice, ginger bread, white bread and butter, tea and milk. At 3 o'clock In the afternoon all of the patients pa-tients will assemble in the chapel, where there will be a Christmas tree and a Christmas package for each oua. The children of the feeble-minded school will havo their Christmas exercises exer-cises at 9 o'clock Christmas morning, when each will be providod with presents pres-ents Each girl will get a tlbll, which has been dressed bv the women of that Institution, while the boys will get such articles as will be "appropriate. Tho Christmas day exercises will end with an entertainment at 7:30 when a farce comedy, "Smith vs Smythe," will be presented by the at tendants and a number of paUonu; and special phonograph numbers will W, be given to wind up the evening.
