Show MAN FALLS FROM A TRAIN With his skull fractured and his right foot badlj crushed, Henry Miller, Mil-ler, a tramp, was found this morning on the right-of-way of the Oregon Short Line railroad, near Thirtieth street, having fallen from a freight .train upon which he was beating his way to Salt Lake City. Miller was only partly conscious when found by section men aud could give no account of the accident which bad caused his Injuries. He was brought to the police station In the city patrol wagon and the city and county physicians summoned. As the accident occurred outside the city limits the care of the man was left to tho county, and Dr. J W. Pid-cock Pid-cock took charge of him. ' The injured in-jured man was removed to the Dee hospital where his injuries were attended at-tended to. It was found necessary to amputate ampu-tate two of the toes on the right foot and to trephine the skull, a large clot of blood having formed on the brain .Just before the operation, Miller recovered consciousness and stated that his home is Bridges, Wyo.. where "ho has a sister. He said that he is subject to epilepsy and that he must have suffered from an attack of the disease while riding on tho bumpers of a train. Ho was on his way to Salt Lake CTly looking for a Job. While the man's condition is qulto serious, tho physician expresses hopes for his recovery. |
