Show TRAGIC END TO A BOY'S- PARREL The funeral services of Wallace "W. Lyon of Ogden, who died at tie Holy Cross hospital in Salt Lako City, Tuesday, of nephritis, will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning, at the S. M. Taylor funoral chapel in Salt Lako City. It will bo romombered that Mr. Lyon Ly-on was shot through tho neck by a colored man, by the name of Kennedy, in a TwentV'fourth Btreet noodle house, December 12. 1909. Tho wound Inflicted was an ugly one and the young man never recovered from Its effects, his denth being indirectly due to this injury. The man who fired thefshot Is now serving a fifteen-year sentence in tho "Utah penitentiary for tho crime, having pleaded guilty to the charge of assault with intent to kii. He was sentenced by Judge J. A. Howell of the District court. Mr Lyon was the son of Mrs. Sarah Lyon-Pope, at one time a prominent milliner of this city. 00 |
