Show LOSES LIFE TRYING TO SAVE SUICIDE OSSINING. N. Y., June 5. One convict con-vict gave his life today in an unsuccessful unsuc-cessful attempt to save another from suicide by drowning. Each morning at Sing Sing prison the convicts march In squads to the wall overlooking the river to empty their slop buckets Today To-day Antonio Guaro, 63 years old. hurled his bucket far out and then leaped Into the water. Three members mem-bers of the squad leaped in after him. but Earnest Sinclair, a youth, was the only one who reached Guaro's side The latter threw his arm:, about Sin clair's neck, and although the young man's fists beat on his face andhead, hung on until both sank together The two bodies were recovered soon afterward after-ward with Guaro's arms still entwined about the neck of his would-be rescuer. res-cuer.
