Show TONY WESTFALL HELD FOHOLDIIP Tony Westfall, who is well known in Ogden police circles, has been arrested ar-rested in Salt Lake City on suspicion of having held up tho crow of a street car in that city on Tuesday night, taking tak-ing $15.50 from the conductor. That Westfall would bo fully capable cap-able of turning such a trick is evidenced evi-denced by his record here He has been in jail many times and on a variety va-riety of charges. The same, day on which ho was released from Jail on a vagrancy charge, Westfall attempted attempt-ed to hold up a man at the Union Depot. De-pot. Ho was arrestea and given a nominal term in tho city prison, after which he was warned to leave the city and never return. The car was being hold at the end of tho line until tho regular time of departure. A tall, slim man with his face masked with a handkerchief entered tho car and leveled n revolvor at tho crew, commanding com-manding them to hold up their hands. H The conductor and motorman were H compelled to stand up while the rob- H ber unfastened the conductor's bolt H with the change carrier attached and H then searched his pockets Tho motor- H man's pockets were not searched, the H robber thus losing $15. After search- H Ing tho conductor the robber backed M off tho car and disappeared. The 10b- M er trembled violently while robbing H tho men. H Detective Captain Beckstead aud Dp- H tectives Wilson, Cleveland and How- H ell went to the sceno and continued H their search for several hours without H success.
