The first article will tell of some of the get-rich-quick games and hard luck stories brought home to the station agent through contact with, the traveling public. The story is educational in that it presents a phase of human nature' which the unexperienced in worldly affairs and the good of heart but unsophisticated should study for their own protection andoguidancc. ' There are human interest features which will provoke a laugh and yet arouse the deeper impulses as there is much of pathos interwoven. in-terwoven. Hiunan weaknesses are disclosed and the cupidity of ihe crafty who prey on the weak are pictured so-as to be readily recognized by any one who had come in contact with the stream of humanity that flows along a railroad. The articles should be read for the amusement they afford and also for the lessons that they teach. |
