Show FORMER OGDENITE '. DIES UMIEXICO "W. B. Murdock, a clerk In the forestry for-estry sorvlce in Ogden, for the past two or three vears, died in Monterey, Mexico, yesterday morning. Mr. Mur-dock Mur-dock was an exemplary young man about 35 years old, a member of tho Baptist church and president of the Utah organization of Baptist young people He came to Utah when' tho forestry service was established here and had made many friends by his staunch character and fidelity to his work and to his religious convictions. About two years ngo his health began to fall him and last fall ho took a six months lay off and went to tho home of his sister at- Fort Worth. Texas, hoping to receive jpcrmanent relief, but the malady, cancer of tho stomach, had secured such a hold that all medical skill seemed unavailing. It 1b not known why he went to Mexico, Mex-ico, but on last Friday telegrams were received In Ogden. announcing the serious condition of his health, and loving and sympathetic friends at once sent messages of sympathy and proffered aid, If necessary. Several dispatches passed and vesterdav morning morn-ing Miss Tabor, of the Ogden High school, received a message announcing his death. p Her leaves many friends in Ogden and his old home In Tennessee. |
