Show LITTLE ONES mim. THE PARK The joy of having play apparatus in -a park Is domonstrnted In LIborty, where tho city park commission is installing machines for the pastlmo of the children. Tho park has been well attended since the first plocq of equipment was put in position and, other pieces havo been added, the crowd of youngsters has been augmented. Now during the afternoon after-noon and evening, the park is filled with children exercising themselves on tho swings, teoters and Blides. Other apparatus Is In course of erection, but the procosB Is slow. The equipment, now Installed consists of the slide, teeters and a number of swings. A small merry-go-round and other fi::ros are yet to be Installed. Thore has been some little trouble between tho park keeper and tho children, but it is thought that the trouble will hereafter be obviated by the presence of a police officer who advises the park man that tho children chil-dren are to be permitted to play in the park and that the apparatus that Is being Installed is for their especial benefit. The children have little difficulties dif-ficulties among themselves regarding their rights to the various playing do-vices, do-vices, but they are easily adjusted by. tho officers, each little tot being fmiirhf thnt ha mnot rncnool thn rlrif of his playmate and givo him an opportunity op-portunity to "teeter and swing" occasionally. oc-casionally. Tho children and tho parents par-ents highly appreciate tho play ground. |
