Show j JUNIOR STOCK SHOW PLANNED 60 Expected to Exhibit Animals Directors of the Cache County Junior Fat Stock Show met at the courthouse, Wednesday and ! made plans for the annual spring show, reported J. J. Theurer, chairman of the 4-H Leaders' Council, who acted as chairman of the meeting. The date of the show was set for May 6. Those eligible to participate par-ticipate will be F.F.A. and 4-H club members who are feeding baby beef, hogs and lambs for the Intermountain Junior Fat Stock Show at North Salt Lake Land the Ogden Livestock Show. About 100 head of baby beef, 10 hogs, and 20 sheep will be exhibited exhibit-ed by 60 boys and girls of the county, he said. The purpose of the show is to give those who exhibit and their animals experience in the show ring and a chance to compare animals; ani-mals; also to acquaint the public with what FFA, and 4-H are doing do-ing in the county. All animals will be assembled at the fair grounds by 10 a. m. Junior Jun-ior judging will begin at 11 and the official platings will be made at 1 p. m. The following executive committee commit-tee was selected: Russell S. Hanson, Han-son, key banker; Jesse Theurer; Amos Baer, H. P. Andersen, and Ray Jensen. Dr. I. F. Edwards of the Utah State Agricultural College, Col-lege, was selected as Judge of the show, and Reuben Hansen as manager. Those who attended the meeting meet-ing were H. R. , Hun-en, Cache Valley Bank; Langton Barber, Lewiston State Bank; A. J. Fuhriman, Fuhri-man, County Commissioner; H. P. Andersen, F.F.A. Instructor at South Cache high school; Amos Baer, F.F.A. Instructor at North Cache high school; David Sharp, Jr., State 4-H club leader; J. J. Theurer and Ray Jensen, 4-H club leaders; Lloyd Hunsaker, county agricultural agent; and Reuben Hansen, assistant agricultural agent. , |
