Show Crop Outlook Termed Good Prospects for employment in Cache county will be exceptionally exceptional-ly good in Cache county, especially especial-ly in the construction and agricultural agri-cultural lines, the Cache county Committee for Economic Development Develop-ment reported Saturday. A check-up meeting, held under un-der direction of Chairman Henry Theurer, of Providence, revealed that a number of jobs will be available if conditions equal present pres-ent anticipations. For instance, Mr. Theurer pointed point-ed out. at least 14 new business buildings are to be constructed in the city, along with more than 100 private dwellings. Several other oth-er probable projects also were reported. re-ported. Lloyd R. Hunsaker, county agricultural ag-ricultural agent, and Bennie J. Ravsten, county farm labor supervisor, super-visor, said that many returning servicemen can be absorbed directly di-rectly in agricultural employment and others indirectly. Many farmers far-mers are contemplating new construction, con-struction, which has been delayed because of past shortages of labor. Logan city's postwar public works program was outlined by Mayor William Evans Jr. He said that the five year plan which has been drawn up by city officials is not a plan to bid labor away from private industry, but to ere. ate work as a stop. gap. "We expect to sponsor worthy projects to absorb any surplus of labor that exists. All tovns in the county have similar programs -of public work and improvement," he said. A brief picture of the employment employ-ment trend was given by O. L. Miner, manager of the Logan U. S. Employment service office. He stated that approximately 3000 Cache county men have been in military service, and 302 have been separated from service. Of this number. 149 have registered reg-istered with the employment service, ser-vice, and 145 placed in jobs. He said his office has a number of positions to be filled in various va-rious fields.
