Show Prominent Cornish Matron Succumbs Funearl services for Mrs. Lillian Matilda Allen Bergeson, 71, of Cornish, prominent in northern Cache county social circles, who died Sunday midnight of a cere-,. cere-,. bral hemorrhage following a short illness, will be conducted Wednes- day at 2 p. m. in the Cornish L D S ward chapel by Clarence Neeley, bishop. She was the widow'of Ephriam Bergeson, prominent northern Utah agriculturist who died Oc tober 23, 1940, of injuries received "in an automobile accident. Mrs. Bergeson was born December Decem-ber 6, 1872 in Draper, a daughter of William L. and Miranda Stewart Stew-art Allen. In 1892 she was married to Mr. Bergeson in the Logan s temple. t A member of the church, she ' had served as an officer and teacher in various auxiliaries of the Cornish ward. She also1 was active in civic affairs. Survivors include five sons and three daughters, Vernal A. Bergeson, Ber-geson, Satl Lake City, state commissioner com-missioner of agriculture; Harold E. Bergeson, Mrs. Leeta Baker, Bryan L. Bergeson, Mrs. Audrey Hansen, Dale A. Bergeson and Mayor Douglas A. Bergeson, Cornish; Cor-nish; Mrs. Maude Hancock, Silver Sil-ver Bow, Mont., 21 grandchildren, 'V- three great-grandchildren and three brothers, Edward L. Allen, Burley, Idaho; Paul Allen, Poca-tello, Poca-tello, Idaho " and Isaac Allen, Grangeville, Idaho. . - Friends may call . at the family home Tuesday evening and Wednesday Wed-nesday until time of services. Burial Bur-ial in the Lewiston cemetery will be under direction of the W. Loyal .Hall mortuary, Logan. |
