Show Mrs. Hattie Lower is visiting at Salt Lake City with her sister, Mrs. Alice Brantzeg. Miss Millicent Dairies of Ogden is spending the week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Nilson. Mr. and Mrs. Hal Pitcher of Salt Lake announce the birth of a daughter recently. Mrs. Lorenzo Anderosn and daughter Dorthy of Los Angeles are visiting with relatives and friends for two weeks. Corporal uon Barwood who is serving in the U. S. army in Colorado Colo-rado is spending a ten day furlough fur-lough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Harwood and family. Mrs. Reed M. Hovey and son Glen returned to their home at Mobile, Alabama, after spending two months with Mrs. Hovey's mother, Mrs. Fern N. Smith and family. Mrs. Glen Allen is spending the week end with Dr. and Mrs. Vincent Vin-cent Rees at Salt Lake. Mrs. Donald Jackson spent the week end visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Green at Ogden. Landel Toolson who is stationed in Texas is spending the week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Toolson. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Tout of Ogden Og-den visited with relatives on Sunday. Sun-day. E. R. Miles of Salt Lake City is visiting with his mother, Mrs. Annie G. Miles. Mrs. LaVern O. Shelley has arrived ar-rived at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon C. Olsen. She visited her sister Mrs. Wood-row Wood-row Selley at Camp Tyler, Texas. Mrs. Parley Winn spent the week end visiting at Salt Lake at the home of (Mr. and Mi's. Hal Pitcher. , Funeral services for Hugh S. Rash were held Monday afternoon at the First ward chapel with Bishop M. T. Van Orden conducting. conduct-ing. The ward choir under the direction of Athen Reese with Mrs. M. T. Van Orden at the organ sang two selections. Those who paid tribute to Mr. Rash were Bishop Hazen Hillyard and Bishop Bish-op G. L. Rees. Special musical numbers were a vocal duet by Athen Reese and Mrs. Leo Nelson. Vocal quartet, Lamont Harris, Mrs. Jean Lundquist, Dwaine Reese and Mrs. T. W. Jarvis. Prayers were offered by Neils Gyl-lenskog Gyl-lenskog and Lionel Danielson. The grave at tire Smithfield cemetery was dedicated by Bishop Jed Miles. The large display of flowers flow-ers were in charge of relatives and friends. Mrs. Carrie Pitcher entertained the members of her family at her home over the week end. Those included were Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hammer and family of Spokane, Wash., Mr. and Mrs. George Pitcher Pit-cher and family of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Povey of Rupert, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Reese of Benson and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Pitcher. On Sunday Sun-day the family was guests at a luncheon at the Mack Memorial Park, given by Mrs. Wells Smith, Mrs. Ariel Smith and Mrs. Odell Smith of Amalga. Music and games gam-es were enjoyed. Thirty-five members mem-bers of the family were included. Mrs. Mable Athey spent Sunday Sun-day at Corrine. |
