Scout Council Names New Aide Frank Fullmer, graduate of Brig-ham Brig-ham Young University and former member of the faculty at Branch Agricultural college, Cedar City, Saturday was named field scout Executive of the Cache Valley Boy Scout council, it was announced today by Executive Preston W. Pond. Mr. Fullmer succeeds F. D. Brown, who has been serving as field scout executive at large for the council. He will be transferred to the Pilot Butte district of the council at Rock Springs, Wyo. to service the Wyoming areas, Mr. Pond explained. The new executive is a native of Springville and graduated from BYU with a major degree in physical education and a minor in political science. He was coach one y year at Beaver high school and in 1943 was employed as a physical education instructor for the army air forces at BYU. "Mr. Fullmer enters the professional profes-sional scoutins field with high rec- comendations," Mr. Pond said. "He was a member of the Cedar City Lions club and of the Junior and sencir chambers of commerce there." He will assist Mr. Brown with operation of Camp Hunt on Bear Lake and Camp New Fork, in. the Windriver mountains, Wyo., before leaving in September to attend the national training school for scout executives. 1 , Following the camping season, Mr. Brown will leave for Rock Springs to open up an office and direct activities for the increasing membership in that area, Mr. Pond said. |
