Show Champ Drafts Ideal Message to President FDR Frederick P. Champ, president of the Cache Valley Banking company and past president of the Amercian Mortgage Bankers association of America, doesn't believe in government policies of 'keeping a hot water bag upon our morale." Speaking last night at a meeting of the Idaho Falls chamber of commerce, Mr. Champ said he believed Americans Ameri-cans would make "unheard of sacrifices" if they believed, by doing so, they could end the war in 1943. Deploring government-sponsored philosophies of pessimism and,,, lack of confidence in the peo-' pie's ability to "take it," Mr. Champ suggested the following message from the average citizen citi-zen to President Roosevelt: "Dear Mr. President: You can dismiss all the multitudinous metaphysicians of Washington and forget me. "You can put your whole mind on military strategy and war production. You have my name. Until I hear from you I'll just work away at the job I've got, and try to do it a little better. And I'll buy more bonds. "If you want to worry, worry about the men in the Solomons. To hell, sir, with my morale. I've given it up for the duration." |
