Show Here's Steps For Renewing Basic "A" "D" Gasoline Books Applications Will be Handled by Mail Steps for renewal of basic "A". and "D" gasoline rationing books which expire on July 21 were listed today by the Cache county War Price and Rationing boards. The renewals will be conducted by mail, as follows: The applicant may go to a service station and obtain an application ap-plication Form OPA R-570. The application form should be filled out according to instructions, instruc-tions, giving the name of t he registered owner and full information infor-mation concerning the automobile and the name and address of the 1 applicant, (applicant should be careful that he gives full informa-1 tion according to instructions and j that he signs this application form) . He should then mail the application appli-cation form and his current tire inspection record to his local rationing ra-tioning board. His current tire inspection record must show at least one tire inspection has been made and approved. The applicant should inclose the back cover of his basic "A" book. This cover should carry the signature sig-nature and the address of the applicant. , The local board will prepare a new "A" book and return it to the applicant by mail. Applicant should be sure that' the serial numbers on the tires of the old inspection record is in agreement with the serial numbers num-bers listed in the new application applica-tion or furnish evidence that the tires have been legitimately replaced. re-placed. Applications may be mailed to the Cache county boards immediately. imme-diately. Books will be processed as fast as possible and will be returned to the applicants by July 21. Applicants are especially asked not to make inquiries by phone at the rationing boards because of the inconvenience that such inquiries cause and because of the heavy load already carried by the rationing board offices. |
