Show Bishp William L. Winn is visiting vis-iting with relatives at Arimo, Idaho. Mrs. Maxine S. Hovey and son Glen R. are visiting in Richmond with Mrs. Leonard Christensen. Mrs. Agnes Roskelley is visiting visit-ing in Ogden with her son Leonard and family. Mrs. Lula Mortensen and fam-ily fam-ily and Miss Eleanor Holjeson are visiting in southern Utah for a week with friends. Mrs. Maxine S. Hovey and son Glen R. visited with her brother George S. Smith and family at Brigham City. Mrs. Bessie P. Neilson of Huntington Hunt-ington Park, Calif., is visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis R. Plowman and family. Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Barker left Saturday for Springfield, Ohio to visit with their son Lloyd, who is in the army air corps. They expect to be gone two weeks. Lieutenant Ronald Erickson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Erickson is spending a ten day furlough in Smithfield. Lieutenant Erickson spent two years in the Aleutians. Mrs. Martin Dietz and daughter of Layton are visiting with Mrs. Delia Peterson. Mrs. Dietz was formerly Miss Joan Peterson. Mrs. Oswell Johnson of Delta is visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sorensen and family. Funeral services for Mrs. Matilda Ma-tilda Merrill were conducted Friday Fri-day afternoon at the Third ward chapel, with Bishop Don Chambers Cham-bers in charge. The choir, under the direction of Miss Gwendella Thornley, sang three selections, with Mrs. Martha Poulsen accompanist. ac-companist. The-V speakers, who praised Mrs. Merrill as a mother and a true friend, were Bishop W. L. Winn, Superintendent J. W. Kirkbride, Reuben J. Collet of Salt Lake City, Bishop Sylvester Sylves-ter Low and Bishop Don Chambers. Cham-bers. Ray Guymon and daughter Clarene were the guests of Mrs. Jay Knudson on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Nilson were the guests of Dr. and Mrs. Orson S. Daines at Ogden on Sunday. Mrs. Sylvia Blair 0f Provo is visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Roylance. Mr. and Mrs. Garth Hansen, who are attending school in Wisconsin, are spending a ten day vacation with Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Hansen and Dr. and Mrs. G. L. Rees and families. Captain Randall Hillyard, of Camp McCoy, Wisconsin is spending spend-ing two weeks with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hazen Hillyard and family. Technical Corporal and Mrs. Keith McCombs are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Andrew McCombs and Mr. and Mrs. Golden Reeder and family. Mr. and Mrs. Therman Bingham of San Francisco are visiting with Mr. Bingham's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Parley Bingham for a month. I |
