Harris, college president In addition to his extension service ser-vice work, Professor Green will instruct journalism classes at the college until the arrival of Dr Carlton M. Culmsee. dean of the school of arts and sciences and professor of journalism, who now is in the naval service. Professor Green, a native of Salt Lake valley, was graduated from Biigham Young University in 1941 with a bachelor of science degree in journalism A year later he received a master of science degree in sociology, with a thesis entitled, "The Commercialization of Patriotism in Advertising." During the years he studied at BYU, he was assistant extension-editor, extension-editor, and was acting director of publicity and acting head of the journalism1 department. He is a gradaute of Jordan high 1 school and attended the 'University of Utah one year. From 1936 to 1930 he was a missionary in Tahiti. Prior to accepting the appointment as extension editor, Professor Green operated a farm j near Rupert, Idaho. , |
