Show College Plans Homecoming Fete The most colorful, student-sponsored student-sponsored celebration of the year $ Utah State Agricultural college : homecoming has been scheduled for October 20 and will include all' ihe trimmings and fiesta of pre-1 war days, according to Seth Bills, of Riverton, student councilman in i charge. j "Homecoming takes on an added j signaficance this year because of j the return to civilian life and the , campus of many former students," j he said. "These students will be welcomed, along with the old pads." The celebration will get underway under-way Friday, October 19 at 7 p.m. when the freshmen and sophomores sopho-mores will stage a tug-ol-war thrcgh the fire hose on- Logan's . main street. A bonfire pep-rally is scheduled for 7; 30 p.m., and then students will snake-dance to the Capitol theater for an as- j sembly and movie. A skit, to be directed by Kath- I j qrine Jenkins, .. pf JSugarj City, j Idaho, student body vice presi-dent, presi-dent, and Councilmen Emma Rae j Anderson, of Tremonton, and Ma- j rine Carlisle, of Logan, songs and j cheers led by the Aggie cheer I queens, and musical numbers will be included on the assembly program, pro-gram, j Members of the Engineers' 'club will bs in charge of decorating Logan's streets with the traditional "A" slogans. A parade, featuring several bands and floats to be prepared by all campus organizations, will open Saturday's event at 12:30 p. ffl. Participants will march up to the stadium for the football game between the Utah Aggies and the Colorado A & M Rams. Kickoff will be at 2 p.m. Other homecoming events will be house decorating contests, open l' all campus organizations, for a luge trophy. An award also will be made to the orgfuiizatin hav-tag hav-tag the best floit. |
