Show Wheat-Barley Lean Rates Announced Loan rates for Utah on the 1942 wheat and barley crops and eligibility eligi-bility rules for securing a loan on either of these crops have been announced by H. E. Larsen of Cor-inne, Cor-inne, newly appointed member of. the Utah State AAA Committee. Mr. Larsen said that the wheat loan rate will average out at about 97.5 cents a bushel for most Utah stations and that the barley rate will be 60 cents a bushel on No. 1 i barley. Eligible for a loan, he said, is any person, partnership, association, associa-tion, or corporation producing wheat or barley as a landlord, landowner, or tenant who has met the following requirements. 1. Seeded within acreage allotments allot-ments or permitted acreages under un-der the provisions of the 1942 Agricultural Ag-ricultural Conservation rPogram. 2. Had 20 percent of their cropland crop-land devoted to soil conserving uses. 3. Or earned more than 60 per cent of the soil building allowance. Barley, to be eligible for a loan,, must grade No. 5 or better and wheat must be a good marketable-quality marketable-quality and dry enough for storage. |
