Show i , " y' i ' ,"" i LIEUTENANT BAKER Cornish Airman Wins Citation Lieutenant Allen L. Baker, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Baker, pilot of a B-17 flying fortress, has been awarded the air medal and one oak leaf cluster according to word received Thursday by his parents. He recently participated in the first daylight attacks made by U. S. forces over Berlin. Lieutenant Baker is a graduate of North Cache high school and was inducted into the army two years ago. He trained with a tank division at Fort Knox, Ky., and then transferred to the air corps. He received his wings and second lieutenant commission in the air corps at Yuma, Arizona on June 22, 1943. Lieutenant Baker went overseas over-seas in November, 1943 and has participated in 15 bombing missions mis-sions over occupied Europe. |
