Show Utah Guide Should Aid Tourist Travel Early in April the Utah Guide, WPA Utah Writers' Project publication, pub-lication, was published, and spontaneous spon-taneous opinions from prominent persons and firms give credence to the belief that this book is by-far by-far the finest piece of literature on the state of Utah yet to appear. ap-pear. Abe Murdock, U. S. Senator from Utah, had this to say of the guide: "It was with pleasure that I received a ropy of Utah: A Guide to the State, which was sent to me recently. I congratulate the authors of this book on having edited a publication which is a real tribute tri-bute to the people of Utah. I feel that every Utahn should own a copy of this very worthwhile volume, vol-ume, and assure you that I regard re-gard my copy as a valuable addition ad-dition to my library. A copy of the Guide which was by Governor Herbert B. Maw to Governor E. P. Carville of Nevada Ne-vada met with much favorable response res-ponse in that state, while the opinion of U. S. Senator Elbert D. "The WPA Writers' Project is to be complimented compli-mented and congratulated on the fine work it is doing in compiling and preserving important information infor-mation concerning various areas of our country." The Conoco Travel Bureau at Denver, Colorado, which is going to. repeat its display of American Guide Series hooks in that city as soon as the travel season gains full" headway, ballooned the Utah Guide with "We have : Just received re-ceived our copy of Utah: A Guide to thel State and believe it to be the finest of the entire series. It is used here as the authoritative guide on Utah." The Salt Lake City office of the Writers' Project reports Guide sales are on the increase, and expresses expres-ses the hope that the coming travel tra-vel season will bring more visitors to Utah through interest created by the Guide. |
