C last Saturday by Manti youths and the automobile accident which occurred while they were home Don Stroble whose mother ar arranges arranges arranges ar- ar ranges the programs for the String- String ham Furniture company did a fine job himself in arranging and an announcing announcing announcing an- an a minute 15 radio program program program pro pro- gram which was broadcast at 10 a. a am a.m. m. m over Participating with Don on the program were Joan and Mary Lou Nielson sisters who did a piano and violin duet and Maril Marilyn Keller and Jane Stott who offered vocal solos accompanied by Jane Anderson On the way home in Dons Don's car the group ran into a car driven by Charlie Funk of Sterling They approached Mr Funks Funk's car this side of Sterling on the fill Mr Funk signaled to turn to the west and waited until a car coming from north passed before turning Dons Don's brakes failed and he was faced with the choice of running off the fill hitting g th the coming on car or running into the back of the Funk auto He chose to hit the Funk car and although the cars were smashed up the occupants escaped with minor cuts bruises and sprains and a good shaking up No serious injury was sustained by an any any of the riders I |
