Show o Prominent Farmer armer Dairyman Dies Leslie Jorgen Madsen 50 prominent farmer fanner and dairyman died unexpectedly unexpectedly unexpectedly edly between four fout and five o'clock Friday afternoon of a heart attack He was born in Manti ManU June 17 1896 a son of Jorgen and Hannah Anderson Anderson Anderson An An- derson Madsen and had always made his home here engaging in farming fanning and He was a member of the Manti ManU choir and was a seventy in the Manti ManU South ward Mr Madsen 1 served with the Utah State National Guard on the Mexican border in 1916 and after his return married Rebe Alder December 20 1916 in the Manti ManU temple He is survived by his widow five sons Leonard and Morgan Madsen Manti Wayne Vayne Madsen Colorado Springs Colo Melvin and Clair Madsen Madsen Madsen Mad- Mad sen Salt Lake two daughters Pauline and Joyce Madsen Manti ManU two brothers brothers brothers bro bro- Ernest and Loe Madsen l Manti and two Mrs Henrietta Ford Pocatello Idaho and Mrs Ellis Moffitt Moffitt Moffitt fitt Manti ManU I Funeral HeM Held Well Vell attended funeral services were held in the Manti South ward chapel Tuesday afternoon Wi with l Bishop L. L Glen Gen Anderson in charge The floral tributes were many and beautiful Preliminary music was by Lucy Nielson Nielson Nielson Niel- Niel son and daughter Joan The Manti ManU choir directed by E. E E. E Johnson and andI I with Maude Reid as accompanist sang Lord We Ve Come Before Thee Now v and the invocation was by E. E T. T Reid Bishop Anderson in short remarks paid honor and respect to the family and told of Mr Madsen being a faithful faithful faithful faith faith- ful worker and of his help with the South ward project at the County Fair last year J. J W. W McAllister of Provo sang Going Going Going Go ing Home after which Bishop Alma C. L R. R Anderson speaking as a friend and neighbor extended re respect respect respect re- re and condolence to the bereaved family and said that death is very much a part of life and can be ex expected expected expected ex- ex anytime by anyone We are here for needed experience and prayer has a very important place in l life e the speaker said and added that the gospel gospel gospel gos gos- pel gives a clear understanding of l life e why we are here and where we are going The best life is a t clean l life e physically and spiritually Mr Anderson Ander Ander- son said and paid tribute to Mr Madsen as a fine neighbor who was always cooperative Easton Moffitt played a violin solo Out of the Dusk which had been one of Mr Madsen's favorites He was accompanied by Mrs Moffitt C. C W. W of Mt Pleasant spoke as ns a law in to the family family fam fam- ily and said the gospel cosnel teaches us to mourn with the mourners and rejoice with the rejoicing He told of Mr 11 Madsen's splendid ancestry and said deceased had been one to do the right thing at the right time honest earnest earnest ear ear- nest upright and courageous He also spoke of the service the Madsen boys had rendered their country Bishop Anderson extended the thanks of the family to all who had taken part in the funeral given floral tributes or helped in any way The closing song by the choir was May MayVe We Ve Who Vho Know and the benediction benediction benediction bene bene- diction was pronounced by Clinton Poulson of Bingham The grave was dedicated by Bishop Ernest Madsen Among those who came from out of town for the services were the three sons of Mr Madsen who live elsewhere elsewhere elsewhere else else- where Mr and Mrs J.
