Show Funeral Held For Mrs Braithwaite Funeral services for Viable Mable Clair Buchanan May Braithwaite were held Saturday afternoon in the Manti South ward with Bishop Glen Anderson Ander Ander- son in charge Mrs Braithwaite died at the family home on January 15 Prayers at the funeral were by C. C O. O Whiting and C. C G G. G Braithwaite Music by the choir was under direction direction direction tion of Erastus H H. Peterson with Eunice Eunice Eunice Eu Eu- nice Garbe as organist Special music included a solo Going Home by Sam Parry and a solo Holy City by Mildred l Jenson Bishop Anderson made short opening opening opening open open- ing remarks paying tribute and respect to Mrs Braithwaite and her family Alma C. J M. M Anderson spoke of Mrs told of her heras Braithwaite as a friend and as a child in school She had been beena a good mate to Mr Braithwaite the speaker said and also told of how she had gone into the homes of others to help nurse the sick Mrs Jessie Jensen told of being a Relief Society teacher for several years with Mrs Braithwaite as her senior companion who was always most appreciative to all who assisted her She showed the same appreciation tion during her illness appreciation to doctor nurse neighbors friends children relatives and all who called on her Mrs Braithwaite had shown her testimony of the gospel by her good works the speaker said Ray P. P Lund said he spoke as a relative and said Aunt May was a queen one who had a knowledge and understanding of the gospel who knew right from wrong had the courage courage courage cour- cour age and ability to choose the right was humble and was a splendid example ex example example ex- ex ample of fruitful industrious clean and honorable living He told how she had raised a fine family and had been a friend to all Mrs Garbe played God Be With You on the organ as the services closed and people left the building Interment was in the Manti cemetery where when Ray nay P. P Dyreng dedicated the grave |
