Show noted people visit museum colonel L 0 stephenson inspector in chief of 0 the united states S C V and mrs fannie both ot of mayfield Maytle ld kentucky visited the museum in the old state capitol last week both are quite well known writers and their visit here was wa for the purpose of gathering material tor for a historical treatise on the state ot of utah they had spent considerable time in salt lake city and other parts of 0 the state and hearing of the museum here they came to look over the exhibits before leaving utah mrs lilly rogers one 0 of the custodians at the old capitol building happened to tell them that her mother walked across the plains and col stephenson immediately asked it if he might hear the story ot of her life mrs afro rogers told him ot of her mothers experiences in some detail from rom the time she left tier her native land until she died a few years ago this week J B hughes state commander of 0 the sons and daughters ot of the pioneers and indian veterans of the state 0 of utah and john B D banks adjutant general 0 of the same organization both of 0 whom are from spanish fork visited the old capitol and expressed great pleasure at seeing so large an exhibit ol of real old pioneer relics |
