Show Kansas Wind Storm Floods Farms Kansas City A windstorm of nearly near-ly cyclonic force, bringing with it a downpour of rain, descended upon astern and southeastern Kansas. Streams, already swollen from previous pre-vious rains, were sent out of their banks at many points, flooding farm lands and putting a severe crimp into the aprpoachiug harvest of wheat. The waters were receding Sunday. No loss of life was reported, but In some towns In the wind-swept area debris from wrecked buildings, fallen telephone tele-phone poles ond tree limbs littered the the streets. The storm srtuck in the central eastern part of the state and swept on southeastward into Oklahoma. At Burlington, a four-nich downpour sent the waters of Rock creek pouring through the main street and into store buildings. |
