Show s "M" Men are Organized : Elect Officers i Thursday evening a banquet was . served at Atkin cafe to thirty-five people. The main object of this event was to organize an "M. Men's" club . in our city. This club is for young men from 17 to 23 years of age and is fostered , by the M. I. A. The purpose is to improve social conditions. stimulate interest in i athletic work, public sentiment and civic affairs. i The organization was effected and the following officers were elected, j President. Kenneth Hollis; vicu president, Wm. McGhie; secretary. Harold Bailey; treasurer, LeRoy Carlson. Other officers will be elected ' at the first regular meeting Tuesday eveuing next at the city hall. 1 Now, a general invitation is extended! ex-tended! to all young men in Milford at the ages of 17 to 23 to join this .club, which will improve edify and j advance each member in all that is ; good and tends to pleasure and substantial sub-stantial form of happiness. The banquet was very much enjoy-j enjoy-j ed and appreciated. ! Prof. Pixton acted as toastmaster ami provoked no end of laughter and merriment and also at times brought out true sentiments that appealed ap-pealed to all that is good and elevat- iing to mankind. I I Every one responded when called on in a very clever manner, revealing reveal-ing the wholebeartedness put in this new movement. Dr. Parrish and- Prof. Pixton are ;the prime movers in this needed cause. They should feel honored to see how successful they were with j the undertaking. I Songs were sung continuously by the hoys during the banouet and Mrs Anna Grimshaw. Eleanor Griffiths. Ruth Elmer and Macel Rogers gave some highly appreciated musical selections. se-lections. !
