Show SEWER BIDS AREOPJED Last Thursday evening the Town board met to open the bids on Ihe construction of a sewer system in District No. 2, which comprises the south part of town and the part adjacent ad-jacent to Stoddard street. The advertisement called for all bids to be filed with the town clerk before five o'clock Thursday evening even-ing and one bid was brought in at 7:30, and caused much discussion and some hard feelings. County Attorney Woodbury was called on for an opinion, and after hearing the facts, In the case,, he stated that he would have to look the matter up and it might take him some little time. While he was at his office the board decided to open the late bid, till the others having been opened, and decide what disposition should be made of the bid.s in accordance with the legal opinion of the attorney, attor-ney, when that opinion should he ready. In all there were four bids receiv-al, receiv-al, as follows: Tom Mar.in. Milford, $S400. Wade Co'cn. Milford, $S000 Q. G. Palm. Salt Lake, $9225. Thompson Ens'ineering Co., Delta. S9000 Hesser & Pfickard, Springville, 7977. Action on the bids was deferred i.uttil Thursday evening, March 31. : |
